Do you ship internationally?

Yes. All international orders are sent using Royal Mail International Tracked. USA customers pay no customs fees as orders are shipped DDP.

I'm James, a metalworker by trade from Sheffield, and a passionate outdoors person.

Over the past few years, the Cadac cookers have been my go-to choice for cooking outdoors. In my opinion, their portability, versatility, and price are unmatched!

Although on many occasions I have found the Cadacs to be heavily affected by wind, causing slow cooking times and more gas consumption.

I originally set out to design and make a windshield for my own Cadac, something super simple and bulletproof that could be carried inside the Cadac's case. I ended up making a few tweaks and iterations to the design till I settled on this final model, and decided to give it a go selling them!

Introducing the Vento Windshield! The windshield is designed to work with all Cadac BBQ models, including other similar free-standing BBQ brands.

We're still getting set up here, so all orders and payments are handled through our Etsy shop.

Wind Protection

The windshields keep the flame stable and boil times fast, even in windy conditions. With regular use, they also help significantly reduce gas consumption over time.
Suitable for All Connection Types

The windshield features a large cut-out to accommodate all common gas connections, including right-angle regulators, rigid (fixed) hose fittings, and quick-release couplings.
Designed for the Cadac BBQs

I've designed the windshield to accommodate the full Cadac range, including the 2 Cook, 2 Cook Deluxe, 2 Cook Turbo Deluxe, 2 Cook 2 Pro, 2 Cook 2 Pro Deluxe, 2 Cook 2 Pro Deluxe QR, 2 Cook 3 Classic, 2 Cook 3 Pro, 2 Cook 3 Pro Deluxe, 2 Cook 3 Pro Deluxe QR, and Portable models.
Hanging Utensils

I have also designed the windshields to hold a range of utensils, keeping them off the table and out of the way during cooking. Each side can hold up to 6 utensils. Please note, the utensil cut-outs are designed to hang over the side of the table. If your table or stand is the same width as the cooker, only one side can be used to hang utensils.
Other BBQs

While made for the Cadac range, the windshield suits most BBQs with a flat base and a folding lid that doesn't need rear wind protection. It stays upright using the BBQ's own weight, so doesn't require any custom parts.
Easily Cleaned

The windshields are made from a single piece of brushed aluminium. There are no awkward angles or gaps, making them easy to clean.
The Materials

Aluminium provides excellent natural resistance to corrosion and oxidation while keeping the overall weight low.
The Manufacturing

Each windshield is laser-cut and precision-bent from sheet aluminium. The parts are then deburred to remove any sharp edges, brushed for a textured finish, and anodised to protect against oxidation and corrosion for long-term outdoor use.

Built to Last

The windshields are made from 1.1mm thick 5052-H32 aluminium. They can comfortably hold the weight of multiple utensils and are resistant to impact damage. They won't snap, bend, or chip if accidentally dropped. The aluminium will develop a slight patina from heat with extensive use, but this doesn't affect its structural properties. It is also immune to water damage and rust.

Designed with Purpose

I designed the windshields to be as lightweight as possible. Aluminium by nature is very lightweight, with the windshields weighing only 485 grams. The windshields are also small enough to fit inside the supplied Cadac carrying bags. There are no folds or hinges, making for easy assembly and cleaning. Small cut-outs along the top of the windshields also provide a storage space for utensils, keeping them off the table and out of the way.

I aim to process all orders as quickly as possible, usually within 3 working days. Occasionally, processing times may be longer due to holidays or unforeseen circumstances. If that happens, I'll drop you an email to let you know.

Delivery times vary by destination: Europe is typically 3 to 5 working days, USA and Canada 5 to 7, Australia and New Zealand 6 to 10, and the rest of the world 5 to 10. Slight delays may occur due to local customs processing.

If necessary, I'll arrange a replacement or refund in line with my delivery policy.
